Dear Friend,
We consistently receive feedback that Maayon Yisroel’s classes and events are uniquely beautiful, powerful and inspiring. Thousands of people’s lives have been changed by our classes, CDs and events. To get this result consistently requires careful allocation of our financial resources and superhuman labors put forth by our staff and volunteers. Notwithstanding our fundraising efforts and the community’s extraordinary generosity, the center operates on a shortage each month.
I am turning to you now with the hope that you can assist us. As of Rosh Chodesh Elul, Maayon Yisroel is working under a deficit of $62,500.
With this letter, I am launching a community wide campaign to raise this amount which we need to continue Maayon Yisroel’s work. If only 250 people each contribute $250 towards the full amount, we can easily clear this hurdle. We will be accepting contributions and tracking the progress of this campaign on our website at http://maayon.com. Contributions can also be sent by mail, checks payable to Maayon Yisroel.
With Hashem’s help, we will raise this money quickly and easily before Rosh Hashanah, so that we can continue our work.
Without the community’s continuous support and dedication to Maayon Yisroel, we could not have made it to where we are today. We have had Hashem with us step of the way, and just this week, we have launched this year’s Elul/Tishrei program, our largest undertaking to date. We are also happy to launch MYST, Maayon Yisroel’s Space For Teens, an innovative program to inspire and encourage the teens in our community.
May the upcoming month of Elul, and the following days of awe and joy be a source of inspiration to us and all of the Jewish People.
